CITY COUNCIL MEETING TUESDAY MARCH 8, 2011 7:00 P.M.
Mayor Delton Thorson called the regular meeting of the Augusta City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were council members Donald Kamrowski, Lynette Richards, Steve Peterson, Mike Canaday, and Christine Lee. Also present were Mike Mosley, Kim Krueger and Cynthia Anderegg.

Pledge of Allegiance

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion by Richards seconded by Lee to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion by Richards seconded by Canaday to approve the minutes of the February 8, 2011 council meeting. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT Kathy Doughty inquired about property improvements at a property on W. Brown St. She stated that she contacted Eau Claire County concerning this property. Ms. Doughty also announced that there will be a county transportation meeting to be held on March 14th at the Augusta Senior Center.

APPROVAL OF DEPARMENT REPORTS
Motion by Peterson seconded by Canaday to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Richards seconded by Lee to approve the Police Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Richards seconded by Lee to approve the Senior Center Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Peterson seconded by Lee to approve the Library Report. Motion carried. Library director, Leslie LaRose, presented the library annual report using Powerpoint.
Motion by Richards seconded by Peterson to approve the Public Works Report. Motion carried. Kim Krueger stated that biding for the Wastewater Treatment plant would take place in a few months.

CAROL PEUSE – REQUEST FOR APPROVAL ON PARADE PERMITS FOR 2011 Motion by Peterson seconded by Kamrowski to approve parade permits for Memorial Day, Bean and Bacon Days, Homecoming and possibly a Christmas parade. Motion carried.

CAROL PEUSE – REQUEST FOR 1 BLOCK OF S. STONE STREET AND S. SPRING STREET TO BE CLOSED DURING BEAN AND BACON DAYS PARADE AND FOR ACTIVITIES FOLLOWING THE PARADE Motion by Richards seconded by Peterson to close 1 block of S. Stone and S. Spring Street for the Bean and Bacon day parade and following activities. Motion carried.

DISCUSS AND CONSIDER AMEMDED DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN FROM NORTH SHORE BANK Motion by Richards seconded by Lee to accept the North Shore Bank amended deferred compensation plan. Motion carried.

CONSIDER RESOLUTION FOR IDENTITY THEFT PREVENTION PROGRAM Motion by Richards seconded by Lee to have City attorney, John Wilcox, daft a resolution for an Identity Theft Prevention Program. Motion carried. The Council will review the draft at the next regular meeting.

APPROVAL OF BARTENDER LICENSES None

ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Lee seconded by Canaday to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
