CITY COUNCIL MEETING TUESDAY JULY 12, 2011 7:00 P.M.
Mayor Delton Thorson called the regular meeting of the Augusta City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were council members Donald Kamrowski, Lynette Richards, Steve Peterson, Mike Canaday and Corey Bauch. Also present were Kim Krueger, Mike Mosley and Lori Wells.

Pledge of Allegiance

APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Richards seconded by Canaday to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion by Richards seconded by Kamrowski to approve the minutes of the Board of Review, June 14, 2011 city council meeting and June 23, 2011 personnel committee meeting. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT Kathy Doughty inquired about placing storage bins or containers outside her residence. Chief Mosley will look into ordinances pertaining to outside storage and the use of temporary tents/canopies.

APPROVAL OF DEPARMENT REPORTS
Motion by Richards seconded by Canaday to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Richards seconded by Kamrowski to approve the Police Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Richards seconded by Bauch to approve the Senior Center Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Bauch seconded by Richards to approve the Library Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Richards seconded by Kamrowski to approve the Public Works Report. Motion carried.

DISCUSS AND CONSIDER REQUEST FROM CAROL MAYER TO WAIVE 25% WATER/SEWER UTILITY SURCHARGE TO CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE OF CITY LIMITS Motion by Richards second by Canaday to table. Motion carried.

DISCUSS CITY OF AUGUSTA SIGN ON DAN BOETTCHER’S HIGHWAY 10 PROPERTY Council requests 3 bids and more information for review at the next council meeting.

DISCUSS NON-UNION EMPLOYEES PERTAINING TO WISCONSIN RETIREMENT SYSTEM Motion by Richards seconded by Canaday to approve a 5.8% wage increase for Kim Krueger to begin when the increased WRS employee contribution is withheld from payroll. Motion carried.

REVIEW AND APPROVE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2010 AUDITED BY WIPFLI LLP Motion by Richards seconded by Peterson to table until next meeting. Motion carried.

APPROVE PICNIC LICENSE APPLICATIONS – AUGUSTA ATHLETICS GAMES FOR Motion by Bauch seconded by Canaday to approve Augusta Athletics games for July 24th and August 7th. Motion carried.

APPROVE BARTENDER LICENSE APPLICATIONS
Motion by Richards seconded by Bauch to approve bartender license for Dale Dickinsen. Motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Richards seconded by Bauch to adjourn the meeting.
